Ewan: Colin and I are lovers

Wednesday, September 12, 2007
It's official - there's a shock new couple in Hollywood... Ewan McGregor and Colin Farrell. According to them, anyway.

"Me and Colin Farrell lovers? Yes. You heard it here first. Friends, lovers, all of those things," a deadpan Ewan told us on the red carpet premiere of their film, Cassandra's Dream, in Toronto.

The story was then 'confirmed' by Colin, who walked up behind him, grinning: "We're lovers, but only physically. No movies, no dinners, or long meaningful conversations caring about how the other person is doing in their lives."

The 31-year-old Irishman added: "We just like to make love every now and then. Once a year is going to be the deal, like Woody Allen makes his films.

"We're going to make love once a year. He does look well, doesn't he? Very dapper. It's the accent as well that gets me."

Ewan added that they planned to hang out together tonight.

"I'm going to watch a film with people who like to watch films. Then Colin and I are going to go crazy!" he quipped.

Whatever you say, boys...

Cassandra's Dream by Rope of Silicon.com

This is a Woody Allen feature so I can already hear critics being split on how good it is. Then again, there is always that slight possibility that they will all hate it. Then once again, there is the smallest of possibilities that it will actually be good! Heaven forbid, a Woody Allen film everyone likes? Allen certainly hasn't managed to intrigue audiences like he used to, but his stories always have potential and Cassandra's Dream will mark the first time we have seen Colin Farrell since Miami Vice, wonder if he was forced to drop the mustache

The story of two Cockney brothers (Farrell and McGregor) in south London and their relationship with a young woman (Atwell) who lands in London on her search for fortune. She crosses the two men by accident on her path and when one of them falls in love with her, she becomes aware of her power to attract the opposite sex and uses this to the point of leading the two brothers, who are in financial difficulty, into crime, and creating a dangerous rivalry between the two men.

LONDON, United Kingdom, 5 October 2007 – UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Ewan McGregor and his friend and colleague Charley Boorman recently spoke about their pan-African motorbike adventure known as the ‘Long Way Down’.
