A letter to my wife

Today a preacher friend of ours went home to be with the lord. I know he was ready when the death angel comes. We know not what day nor hour, but we know he is coming. Today preacher Weathers went home to be with the lord. The few short years that we knew him we understood that he loved the lord Jesus Christ with all his heart. He was a man that you could just be around for a short time and realize who was lord of his life I deeply believe that that this man was washed in the blood of Jesus Christ and that he was ready to meet his maker. Some folks believe that when you die that is the end, and some believe that you are asleep. My Bible tells me that to be absent from the body is to be present with the lord. For today I know through faith that today he is with the one that left heaven came down to this sinned filled earth, Who was without sin but loved us so much that he bore our sins upon himself on that cross. Paid our sin debt in full, went to hell in my place, and was raised in victory on the 3rd day. He holds the keys to death hell and the grave. Jesus who now sits at the right hand of the father making intercessions on our behalf. One day to return to gather his church home. This same Jesus that hang on that cross in so much pain beaten, spit upon. Hanged on that tree. I believe that while he was on that cross that he looked across the ages and saw all our sins and failures and said father this I do because I love them. Life on earth is short we know not what tomorrow brings for we are just a heart beat away from eternity. where will you spend it?
