Mark & The Norwegians

Much Ado About Something--I'm Just Not Sure What It Is . . .

Hijinks & Hilarity in 2008

We truly have a strange family . . . being the only normal one, I am the best judge of the wierdness found in Casa Edgrena . . . and I tell you there are some strange folks living with me.

First, there is a small-sized (relatively) red-haired, mischievous imp who wears long underwear around the house, pretends to be an elf or Robin Hood or a knight or something to the point that we wonder if he takes it off when he takes a shower.

Then there is a girl who wanders about reading dead English authors of obscure reputation, and pretends she enjoys it. I think it is all an act intended to trap us into going on a long train ride with only one book by a dead English author in our possession. Imagine the consternation of seven hours on a train with only George Eliot for company--and come to find out George isn't even a "he".

A large "galoofey" lad stumbles about the place with huge feet clattering on the stairs. He eats all my favorite foods, and takes pride in finishing off the last item right before I was going to put it on my plate. Creator of "Tim Juice", a special concoction of mixed fruit juices that no one else would ever wish to try; computer forumer of international renown. He is a Stargate fanatic which should need no further explanation.

Finally, there is a lady that all are wary of. A force to be reckoned with; certainly not to be taken lightly. When you least expect it, she serves up corn chowder or some other suspicious dish intended to demonstrate her powers.

Ah well, such are the travails of life. My lot in life seems to be to act as the model of normal behavior so that the lunatics that surround me can at least see what normal looks like.

Truly, Mark, you are an inspiration to us all, when it comes to raising the standard of 'normalcy'.

I'm tempted to post a few photos to demonstrate that ... but, after all, this is your blog. smile
