A quiet and uneventful day here in Lake Woebegone . . . Slept in until about 0915, quiet breakfast with hordes of vacationing Norwegians at the hotel buffet . . . scooped up the camera at the apartment, and away I went.
Took some photos from the big bridge that connects Stavanger with the island of Hundvag. A very nice view from pretty high up. You'll note that some of the photos look back at Stavanger's harbor (specifically the ferry harbor), and some look eastward across the fjords, etc. toward the hills--fastest way east is actually the ferry across vice driving south, then east, then north to get to the same point.
Also took a few pictures of my office . . .

Nothing on tap for today at all. Went in to the office to review some files, etc., but few others were there (a good sign on a nice Saturday).
Sounds like family are now ensconced in the Duckabush. Thanks for the Tim/Kathy Edgrens for being so gracious in letting them stay at the house.
Watched world cup soccer last night--Germany victorious over Argentina, and Italy over Ukraine. The Germany/Argentina game was actually pretty good. Tonight is England vs. Portugal, should be a good game. I'm trying to be a good European and see value in squads of grown men moving a round ball up and down a field of grass . . .
All for now . . .
