A mixture of work and frustration. Since I wasn't able to get a D-number (similar to social security number) ahead of time due to recent changes in procedures, I am waiting on Oslo to issue me one. Without a D-number I can't establish a bank account, or (as I found out today), get a phone and internet service from Telenor.
There may be a way to get service without a D-number through another provider--I'll give it a try. In any case, not likely to get any installation prior to August due to Norwegian summer vacation season in July.
Loaded a bunch of house pictures on the photo section of the blog. There are descriptions with each photo if viewed one photo at a time.
I am due to get a shipment of goods tomorrow, will move out of the hotel apartment--my last good (and free) breakfast in the morning. And . . . sigh, no more broadband internet for a while--none at the house I'm afraid.
Will try to update blog at work from time to time, but likely won't be uploading more photos, we shall see.

I notice that many of the photos show the house in a pretty good light. Maybe I'm being conservative, but there are many blemishes, stained walls, etc. Not anything like as nice as the Lacey house, but it's not a highway underpass, and it was the best choice for the price in this exhorbitantly expensive area.
