Am writing this from the Pod Orem hotel in Bydgoszcz, Poland. Had an enjoyable meal at a local restaurant with two of my branch chiefs and our counterpart here in Poland. Prices here are noticeably cheaper than elsewhere in Europe, and particularly when compared to Norway.
Uneventful flights to Copenhagen and Gdansk, but then a very long 3+ hour van drive to Bydgoszcz to cover just 140 kilometers. The roads and infrastructure here are truly horrendous, especially for the amount of vehicles on them.
Town has an old feel to it, but most buildings we saw are in poor repair and are basic gray stucco. I can see how this place could get depressing quickly.
More meetings tomorrow, then a quick series of flights back--unfortunately starting with a long van ride to the airport.
Rebeccas birthday is upcoming--Im glad Ill be home for it.
All for now . . .
