Fog is neat. So seemingly mysterious. Like a Sherlock Holmes movie.

We've been getting a lot of it here this year.

Errr... is it London?

Edward Piercy 10. February 2009, 15:22

Yeah, an old photo. It didn't come with any documentation.

I always regret growing up after the Clean Air Act 1956. My lungs might be healthier, but I have never experienced a London fog. :frown:

Edward Piercy 15. February 2009, 20:32

Seriously?

Jeez, I thought fog in London was rather pandemic in the winter. They always are talking about the "peasoup" fog.

I don't know about the air quality these days, but the whole thing simply has to be better than Dicken's described in the opening of Bleak House. It pretty much makes London look like a giant cesspool.

Richard 15. February 2009, 20:36

Seriously. The fogs pretty much disappeared once the coal pollution was removed. I have never seen one in London, maybe a little morning mist at most, and I lived there for year or so. The stereotype endures though!

Edward Piercy 15. February 2009, 20:38

Well if you ever get hungry for fog, come visit Spokane. We have it about 100 days a year. At least in the morning.
