Pat Maginess: Private-Eye

Hard Shelled Detective Fiction by Edward Piercy

Something Else Happens

w00t! Something else happened!

First there was Sasha's birthday party last Friday. And then our Opera
friend Richard dropped by Spokane on Sunday.

And then, yesterday, they brought in the heavy machinery and started
tearing up the parking lot of Rosauer's Grocery across the street from
me -- evidently to put down a new surface and make a few minor grade
changes.

Brain overload!

Systems...shutting...down...

Poor man. All these excitements! Hope things do return to normal soon.

Edward Piercy 15. July 2009, 19:52

@ Darko.

No noise, just a bad smell from the asphalt.

@ Allan.

:D

Thanks for the support.

I'm lucky to not be on any main street. Nothing's been done on my street for years. Hope it stays that way.

Edward Piercy 15. July 2009, 21:40

My parking lot here at the apartment building looks like the surface of the moon. I hope that DOESN'T stay that way.

PainterWoman 15. July 2009, 22:33

 Well, if there were craters on my small street, I'd probably feel the same.
