I just happened to notice that the Eiffel Tower

Very beautiful!

Beautiful indeed. Wish I would have gotten closer to it when I was in Paris.

I have seen our new tower in Avala, it is finished and I will check if it is possible to go on top of it; I think they opened it for public recently. Then I will make a post about it.
No, it is not famous as Eiffel tower but represents a symbol of Belgrade

Does it have pretty lights? Oooh Ahhhh!

p:

(will settle for bright shiny keys if lights not available.)

Gorgeous shot, Edward. Thanks for sharing that. Sometimes we forget about the beauty around us.

I know I tend to forget. Speaking of which I'm watching CNN. p:

Don't worry though. It's nap time.

pure gold in our eyes... how pretty!
celebrating 120th Bday is a great reason to turn shinny! that was on 10/15/09 ..I wonder if the Lightshows will continue for 120 days

a great post Eddie!

@ Angeliki.

You know I did something on it July 2008 and as I remember they were only going to have them up a week or so. But there they are, still there.

I have a feeling that maybe they were so popular that they decided to make them permanent -- even if they aren't very energy efficient. I sure hope so.

In any case I've seen her in many pretty colors since then.

it will be a blessing if they do, cost might be a not very favorable fact however.. But again In France everything is possible
you might enjoy this post on it,
(this bloger mentioned 3 months of lightshows)

match sucks!!!

however,
I hope your math allows you to see the Meteor shower tonight,
we are all ready on my end, snacks, blankets, alarm clock set for 3am ....
and since I know you like the subject,
if not for tonight,

We're in this kind of light vortex here in Spokane with it being a valley. Tough to see stuff. If it's 3 your time it would be midnight here -- that easy math I can do!

Angeliki 17. November 2009, 03:46

math does not suck if you live in Spokane! p:

Edward Piercy 17. November 2009, 21:57

Well Angeliki I finally figured it out.

Paris is UTC +1 and Spokane is UTC -8.

So that's a nine hour difference, which means that 8:00 PM in Paris is 11:00 AM in Spokane.

That would be 2:00 PM NYC time.
