Eft workshop EFT Zaps Pain, Restores Equilibrium.

The Emotional Freedom Technique, also known as EFT, is increasingly used for easing tension and pain of the mind, body, and spirit. Although the method itself is recent in development, it is reverse-engineered from ancient healing practices. With its simplicity and ease-of-use, it's a great tool for energy healing.

The method draws its basis from the ancient traditional healing technique of acupuncture. If you can make sure that the meridians - channels of energy in the body - are clear and flowing properly, the body and mind will be on-balance and this will promote wellness. EFT is just a new evolution of the same principle.

As mentioned earlier, meridians are pathways or channels of energy in the body. When they intersect, it's called a chakra. There are hundreds on the body, not just the big ones you hear about. If a meridian is blocked it can impact your whole energy system.

I made mention of the fact that the person who developed EFT had a background in engineering. This is evident in the straightforward, no-nonsense process that the technique uses. If there's a mystery problem and you can spend 2 hours testing each piece, or 30 minutes in an overhaul, which would you choose? Likewise, the method is designed to do an "overhaul" of the energy system.

The actual process is easily learned and used, and can be done in about a minute for a single run-through. Multiple run-throughs may be needed for each goal, however. Certain points on the head and upper body are tapped in sequence, with a sort of mental reset in the middle, followed by another sequence of tapping.

There is more to the technique than the tapping: To begin with, despite the pain the person states complete acceptance of themselves. Then they do the tapping while their attention is on the problem. Then, they may continue the process, while their focus is on the remaining problem.

Let's face it: EFT is downright neat: It's fast, easily picked up, and you can use it in a lot of varied ways: Headaches, collecting yourself after (or during!) a trying emotional time, painful moments from long ago or self-sabotage in the present: it does it all.

EFT is easily applied to anything which brings unwanted tension or discord. Be it physical, or emotional, you can use the technique to alleviate the severity. Dr. Maxwell Maltz, a cosmetic surgeon, noticed that surgery and emotional wounds had this in common: Scarring occurs unless it's kept relaxed.

At the same time, this method is wonderful for dealing with physical pain. This works on multiple levels:

*By prompting the body to relax, the level of pain is gradually reduced.

*If you've ever had to deal with aching muscles that had to over-compensate due to an injury, you know that tension in an area (notably that caused by pain) can have secondary effects. This is reduced or eliminated.

*Beyond all of that, I can say from experience that in many cases, the pain just melts away. I use it whenever I get a headache beyond my control, and that straightens it right up.

As the Emotional Freedom Techniques are already fairly popular, some practitioners are looking to expand the technique by using it to benefit someone other than themselves. This is called "surrogate EFT".

This method of energy healing is great for people who want to get started learning healing techniques. It's easy to learn and very versatile, not to mention quick. This also of course makes it ideal for people who have to handle pain with any regularity.
