So me and my fiancee were talking about writing and that she writes in a mix of cursive and print. And not thinking I was like "yeah you could call it cunt". (CUrsive+priNT) and we had a ball over that comment. It was hilarious. Or maybe you had to have been there. But anyway. Also, my computer chair broke because I lean back in it way too often and I ghetto fixed it with JB Weld and zip ties and...it sorta worked. It looks ridiculous and awesome at the same time. Wish I wasn't too lazy to upload a pic of it. It reminds me of this site that is all about people ghetto rigging all kinds of projects it was hilarious. Wish I remembered what it was called.

So. Been working out, making up my own my own thing as I go along. I started doing pushups. Each set consists of a wide push up, a regular one, and a diamond one. Started at 1 of each and then increased each by one each day till like I hit a sticking point then I do that many per set for that many days. So now I'm on day 6 of having 7 in each set. (21 total) then after tomorrow I'll bump it to 8 in each. Hard to explain but I've been sticking to it. Don't need legs workout too much because I bike 3 miles to and from work 5 days a week. Plus anywhere else I might go. Then, work is very labor intensive, so I am getting stronger wooo.

So I had a weird ass dream. It was in some dystopian future where everything was bleak and dark and everyone lived in squalor and the only thing of any interest or use was this SUPER mega huge casino. It was the only place that was nice, that had running water, hell, that even had electricity. And so, me, my mom dad and grandma were making a trip there to escape our shitty lives and maybe have a small chance at winning something. We were floating along in our little shopping cart sized hover car (that's why I figured it was the future) on our way to this place. And I being a smaller kid in this dream, was asking about our economic plight, and trying to help by grabbing handfuls of nickels that were just in piles on nearly every street corner; free money for the poor, only to use to go gamble. Because out in the squalor of the peons, only goods and services were usable currency. So we were on our way to have a chance to be winners. It was very depressing and weird.

Always a while since the last time I wrote. Always. We'll here I am once again. Got a job finally, working in a warehouse 40+ hours a week, its just tiring. But I need it. WE need it; my fiancee and I. Once I start the money coming in we will have enough income that we can move out of my parents' house. That will be cool. Other than working nothing has been going on because all I do is sleep during the day and work during the night. Ugh. But its good I guess.

So I'm back. From outer space. Wish I could have the non laziness to write more often, but I just lack motivation for some reason or another. Maybe in the coming year, right? That's how it goes, making resolutions and whatnot. But at least I haven't abandoned this completely, right? Well, let's see. The lady and I have a date set for a wedding with an extremely long engagement, because the date is 1/4/14. That is a while, and gives us plenty of time to make sure everything is right. We have our ups and downs and I've been dumb a couple times but so far we are still on the fast track to do it. That is really a good thing. But enough about personal shiz.
My fiancee got me a new phone for early xmas present, its way better than the old one, faster, bigger screen, more responsive, runs Ice Cream Sandwich, etc. Its probably one of the best I can get due to financial constraints, and the amount of phones offered for Virgin Mobile. I guess if you're on the cellphone scene Virgin Mobile is shortened to vm, but being a linux user vm makes me think Virtual Machine hahah. Also got a new tablet (which I am writing this post from, in fact.), also for an early xmas. It is a Trio Stealth Pro, an off brand to be sure but its pretty sweet does what I need, and is NOT an iPad.
Also the CD tray in my laptop has died. So when I formatted Ubuntu and tried to install Mint (which I am enjoying muchly...now) I had to boot from a USB stick. That was fun. But yeah, enjoying more Android and Mint in my life. Thinking about getting back to programming (never can make up my mind on what I want to do), going to install the Android SDK among some other nerdy things I think...but more on that later. Hopefully soon and more often as well, haha.

So I figured I better write before an entire month went by without me posting on here. Lots happening, resparked my like of writing in real "physical" journals so I've been doing that instead of this unfortunately. Most of that's too private for web discussion anyway, but still. Also got laid off, that's just great. Girlfriend moved in with me, that's sweet. Got really really sick for a week. Just celabrated my best friends 23rd and my 24th birthdays recently. My super awesome girlfriend made me a Boston cream pie with Tux (linux penguin) on it!!! Yeah that was cool. Not much else I spose oh except she also got me a Nintendo DS (well it was hers but now mine lol) with a mod cart so I can basically download and play every DS game ever haha sweet. And there's a bunch of homebrew stuff too. Gah more stuff to mess with. Well yeah. Until later!

Set up Apache on my Bodhi linux machine today, and got a free DNS entry from no-ip.com, so I can have an actual "site" on the real internet from my machine for free. It's kind of cheap, but very cool. Had an interesting time getting the port forwarding from our router to my machine, and/or Apache wasn't installed or configured correctly at first and got frustrated and it took a good chunk of the day. I don't have much on it (ok, really not anything, just the default "It works" page lol) but I was thinking of just blogging on there instead of on here, and making my own little site, but that is a whole new project. But hey, it's good experience to learn all of the good linux stuff. It isn't even a real LAMP server (Linux/Apache/MySQL/Php), it's just the super simple Apache, and a public folder. The rest will come in time. But it is cool because this same computer also has a VNC server and a Minecraft server, which I can now access with the no-ip domain name, and I don't have to memorize some obscure numerical IP address anymore. Woo. I will put a link on here in time, along with the link to my girlfriends animation site, which I am still administrating, but a lot of stuff has been going on with her and it is kind of on the back burner too. Oh, and there is a VNC app for android phones, so I can remote into it from my phone, how ridiculously awesome is that. Was a little frustrating, but now totally awesome set up and I am glad.
In other non-tech stuff, I am still working, and just hanging out and not doing much. Trying to stay busy.

I always get so distracted by everything that I don't write as much as I would like, whether it be on here or in my actual personal journal. Blah. But, here I am today. Been working a lot, so that's good. Did a major room reconstruction, moved furniture around and redecorated again, that was fun. Been playing Minecraft and Skyrim, that's really about it. MUST update more often. I even randomly think of things that I would opine on and post about, but I inevitably forget them. Sigh. Well, I suppose that is all for now.

Been busy. That's what its always like. Well let's see. Still working on the website for the girlfriend but she has had some medical issues unfortunately so that is a low priority right now. Been working a lot. M-F 6am-230pm so that keeps me busy. I DID finally redo my room since I've been out of jail.Up till now it was just a bed and a stack of boxes and crates. Got posters up and put things away and it looks awesome. Skyrim. Been playing that...I'm thinking about rooting my phone. I still have one more computer to set up and then I will be done with man cave computer set up. Its just gonna be Windows XP I think. *end random thoughts*

Went to this big swap meet with my dad. It's more of a car one, everything there is nostalgia or car related, and then there is the actual "old cars for sale" section called the Car Corral. Anyway, it was pretty fun, didn't buy anything except food, but I had a good time. I think if I ever get lots of expendable income and want to collect things, one of them will be old metal signs. Mostly street signs, but random stuff too. Like right now I have a stop sign and a "Nuclear Free Zone" sign in my collection. I saw a Greyhound bus station sign that would've been pretty wicked but I really didn't need it or have too much money so I passed. But I wanted it!! The other thing I want to collect one day when I'm bored and rich is beer mirrors. I have one so far in my bathroom, I don't even know what brand of beer it's for, it just looks cool. Anyway, enough about lame collectibles. Thought I might have gotten my dad to buy me a '69 El Camino for $2500: all primer and with the tailgate off (included though, just off) but it was not to be. I SO SO SO want another El Camino one day. I had a '70, and wrecked it a few years ago. Ugh. Anyway all for now, just random thoughts.
edit: Finally got VNC to work on my Bodhi linux machine so now I can access it from my Ubuntu 12 and Windows 7 machines and I am on the road to awesome-computer-set-up-ness.
