Catania’s manager kicks ass

,

It was a fun start to the Serie A season this past weekend. We saw Roma look unbelievable, Inter look beatable, and Catania look like a team worth supporting. Well, at least their manager Silvio Baldini is someone to support. Not only was he sent off and fined for kicking Parma boss Domenico Di Carlo in the ass toward the end of the match, but he did so while dressed like someone who spent the previous evening passed out in a puddle of piss on a park bench. Truly he is an inspiration to slobs everywhere. He also shows how to apologize to everyone but the victim. Baldini said Monday:

I want to excuse myself with everyone - Parma fans included - but not to him. He provoked me

He is a legend in the making.

I was in a library a few hours ago!

, , ,

It took me more than a few days to atlast find out what I wanted to put up in my blog. Now, I cannot find a better thing to share with all you readers. I was in a library a few hours ago. Yes, I was. I know it is a little unbelievable to accept it, but its history now. Whether you like it or now, whther its believable or not, you've got to admit the fact that I was in a library and also this little fact that I did pick a book. In fact I picked two books of which one was too easy to pick because it was a Justice League comic!! You want to know which was the other book that I picked?? Well, I am not going to let it out that easily mate!! mmmmhmmm! I am going to take you through all the pain that I had to go through to pick the book.

It all started yesterday. I saw one or two of my friends with a book reading all the while during our travel back from the 'Pennalur Penetentiary'. It reminded me of the past, how I used to be mad about books and how much I loved spending time reading them. It had been months since I picked up a proper novel in my hand. I wanted to do it. I knew that if I could do it once I could do it yet again. So I decided that I will do it and I will do it as soon as possible. :headbang: You know what happened then?!?

Well, yeah, you are right. I didn't do it. Not that I didn't want to or I changed my mind, its just that I couldn't go to my library. I was held up by... err... Engineering Graphics. I know its lame, but still, by the time I finished watching 4 episodes of F.R.I.E.N.D.S it was 8 o'clock. I just remembered that my library closed half past eight. I realized that I had only 30 minutes left. I didn't know what to do, I started thinking. By the time I finished thinking, I was doing Plate 8 (Section of Solids) of Engineering Graphics which I had to submit today. (Hey, it took me three hours to finish 5 problems.)

So, today I was determined to borrow a book today. Not that I was thinking about it the whole day, its just that it all occured all of a sudden. Before I could realise anything I was in front of this huge stack of books with names like David Baldacci, Mario Puzzo, John Grisham, Robin Cook, Sidney Sheldon written on them. I didnt know what to do. I was too shy to ask the librarian for help (which I usually do :D ) because there were too many girls there (actually only three, but for such a small area it is indeed too many). I had to pick a book. I knew that I had the capability to do it. Its just that I did not have any amount of confidence at that point of time. I didnt know what to do. I felt like running out of the library, but I knew that it would be tough cause I wasn't wearing my shoes. So I decided to pick a book. I started picking a random book and started reading the back of it. I had already gone through 4. I was loosing my patience. I wanted to get done with it fast cause the humidity level was rising all of a sudden (it might have been because of the fact that the girl next to me was pretty good looking ). The moment had come. I PICKED THE BOOK WHICH I WOULD BORROW!! . Titled hour game by David Baldacci, there were two copies. One with less pages and small font and the opther one having many pages with a huge font. I picked the latter. I immediately rushed to the counter who checked the book into my account and I was off.

On my way back I had a fresh lime juice to celebrate my victory. I had conquered my fear at last!! I had borrowed a book and I am going to start reading again! Well, I atleast hope I do.
Its reading time people!! Off I go now!! Ciao!! Wish me luck!

The Justice League

, ,

Where can you find Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Hawk-Girl and a Martian Man-hunter on the same side fighting the same bad guy?? Think no more. Its the Justice League and thats my latest craze. I got my hands on all the seasons of the Justice League in November from one of my cousins. Since then I have seen about 6 sesons (almost 130 episodes). I know that it is a little kiddish for an eighteen year old to watch, but still, it seemed to attract me.

If any one of you get a chance to get your hands on them, watch them and do feel free to comment here.

Records... A little different this time....

,

Records. Not the ones which great people break to become greater, but the ones which students like me find as one of the most irritating things in college life. I can name atleast 6 different records that I have to maintain, but I still haven't found out the reason behind that. Okay. Some might still not understand what I am yegjactly (exactly) talking about.

Records are big one side ruled note books which contain the aim, apparatus/tools required, procedure, observations, calculations, tabulations, algorithms, ouput, program code, circuit diagrams, model graphs, proper graphs, tools required, conclusions/results of all the experiments that you perform in different labs like Physics, Chemistry, Electrical, Electronics, Engineering Practices, Electron Devices and Circuits, Computer Programming etc.

In simpler words, its a total waste of time. I swear to god that I don't know what is the use of all this. Are they trying to make learning any easier??? Well, I wouldn't find a single difference if records didn't exist. Least to say, i'd be the happiest man in this world. So many labs. Travelling from one block to another, begging one teacher after another for their autographs, who after making us beg as if they have never seen anyone begging before and after several threats regarding how our internal marks would be if we wouldn't complete our records, acknowledge our requests. Whats the purpose, I ask. By any chance are they thinking that it'll help us think better. If they are, they do not desrve to teach us. Get a life people!!

I would love to continue bitching about this the whole night, but unfortunately, I have college tomorrow with RECORDS (DAMN!) to submit and TEACHERS to beg.

Football at midnight?!!?

, ,

I might sound a little crazy. But here it goes. The time now is 2:01 A.M and you know what, I just came back from a game of football. Okay, maybe its a little more than crazy but still.

I was talking on the phone with an old friend of mine, when I recieved a call from my friend Anirudh. This is how the convo went...

A: Hey bala, what you doin??
M: Nothing da. Doing nothing.
A: Shall we play football??
M: Now huh?? Are you serious??? Okay. No problem. Who all are coming??
A: All of them da. Narsimhan, Aju, Anish, Star. Call Songi as well.
M: Okay. But how will I come there?
A: I'll come and pick you guys up.
M: Okay done.

I cut the line and immediately got my kit ready and I waited for about 10-15 minutes when he along with a few others came in a huge car and we left. We started exactly at 1115 and played on till 115. It was a very rough game I should admit. All of them fell down and rolled on the floor atleast once. For me, well, my thigh is bruised badly, I have a swollen head and a sprained joint. :ko:

Right now I am waiting for El Classico to kick off so that I can start watching that. 10 more minutes for that. So catch ya later people.
