Merry Christmas

Peace on Earth!

Google

my friend Jurjen a.k.a.Jekav claims that "google" stores all my naughty searches!
Well he is wrong!
The people at "google" are having too much fun to even bother! so there!
I can prove it with one single video!

 yes,
It is a fact that,
"the search memory" stays for "good",
but I thought
that you will have a kick by seeing of how these people work!
I WANT A JOB AT GOOGLE!
:D and I can always delete all my naughty searches too!
These perks aren’t just gifts to the employees.
There’s some social engineering and a lot of business sense behind them.
This video comes from CBS News Sunday Morning. In it, you’ll get a good look at Google’s amazing complex.

Enjoy!

WOW, very smart of them to give freedom to their employees.
The other perks are great too.

dbshadow(Deacon Blue) 26. October 2009, 04:25

bviously Ive worked at the wrong places, I wonder how much you have to pay them yo work there? I don't imamagine anyone takes early retirement, probably have to be forsed out.

Charles Schloss 26. October 2009, 04:28

They do store some data (anomalously) for research purposes and improving the site

I say a similar video about Google not to long ago

scott cumming 26. October 2009, 04:34

this is great meli  absolutely great. groundbreaking business savvy. i don't get though why other companies don't get it... when intelligent people have their needs taken care of, they have more energy to devote to their work. that's a duh... this is what i call a new renaissance... still slavery but an acceptable slavery. i am applying as soon as i click on 'post comment'

really... and they have an office right here in santa monica. they seem to be discouraging applications at the moment, from what i gleaned surfing around. probably best to get in through a connection to the top. :sherlock: they don't really need an artist or a writer, just technical geniuses. but if i were them, i would consider the possibilites or making google more visually appetizing. anyway, i sent my resume'.

Darko 26. October 2009, 05:44

Speaking about dream job..... I am wondering is there a catch... :sherlock:

L2D2 26. October 2009, 06:10

I don't even want to work but I want to work at Google. haha

Kittylicious 26. October 2009, 06:25

A couple of years ago one of my colleagues (at my old job) suggested that the company bought a sofa, so the employers could relax in a friendly environment, you know for ten minutes after lunch. The manager almost laughed his ass off.

PainterWoman 26. October 2009, 14:29

This would be an ideal company to work for. Having healthier, happier workers makes for a more productive working environment. Too bad other companies don't, or won't, do the same.

starree 26. October 2009, 15:07

I read about them years ago and their jobs, ugh so jealous! but it's neat that they treat them so well.

Gavin Sheedy 26. October 2009, 16:43

Google rawk. There's a lot of negativity towards them, though, I think just because they're big.

Is anybody else on Google Wave? Anybody? Please?

I couldn;t agree more Pam,
it was going to be more profitable than their expenses to keep people productive and positive,
why others do not follow?
because they are "slave drivers" here I said it! p:

There is another one that shows different Google offices around the world

Jurjen 26. October 2009, 21:19

It's all one big propaganda machine I tell you!
Everyone had to sign nasty contracts. I think they work for governments so they know exactly what everyone thinks, yes it's almost as looking into peoples mind :eyes:

I wonder if they can resist the temptation to use the search logs for presenting ads of things you actually searched for in history... :worried:

Okay, I'm just jealous!!! I admit, I need to apply. :D

btw, I agree, google can use some extra artistic input!

Jurjen 27. October 2009, 18:15

 it's mostly dust and some things in the kitchen and bathroom can maybe shine even more. Window cleaning is also needed. Don't worry I have taken care of the screen.
It's only a small place, so you'll be done before you know it! :D

you do realize that I have a house cleaning lady ,no?

not that there is anything wrong with ( I am a health freak myself),
it but I prefer to make 300USD an hour and pay 35.00USD for help,
than cleaning myself and do laundry ...
I am drained (like I am tonight) to even bother. I only stay with the kids while the do their homeworks

that's it you are coming to NYC instead!

look at the first pictures:

Jurjen 29. October 2009, 18:54

Really? Well looking at those pictures I would say there is quite some difference. But it both looks picturesque and there are no skyscrapers, so that makes them alike I guess

Btw, it really does look like the painting, but I couldn't find a nice picture of it quickly enough. I guess I need to make one myself when I'm there with my camera!
