Elephants, the largest land animals on Earth

my i-friend Zaphira loves going to the Zoo,
I forgot to ask her,
if her local zoo includes an elephant into the group of animals it hosts.
Zaphira takes some amazing photos ,
that she generously shares,
with all of us at her posts.
You should visit her blog! It is always worth it!

I love elephants.
I have been to a couple of safaris in Africa,
and I have seen them from very close...
The most amazing thing I saw in the jungle,
is "elephant poo".
It looks very much
like a bucket shaped hay mass with many seeds in it.
These seeds grow into new plants eventually in the many locations
an elephant will travel(and poo).
Elephants are very unpredictable animals.
They can be working hard forever,and be sweet to their masters,
or be totally wild.
Wild in character that is..
Here are some tips of what you need if you come across to one
that angrily charges at you
You never know if you will go to a safari one of these days too!
Life is also unpredictable...Just like the elephants ...

I probably would be frozen in fear. Unable to move OR scream. I have nightmares where something is after me and I open my mouth, and try to scream but nothing comes out but a croaking whisper. Cannot scream to save my neck. Not pleasant.

I think I would be like Star and scream and yell while running away. Having an air horn might be a loud enough noise because I don't think my feeble scream in time of terror would be sufficient.

More preferably, I'd be in an Army tank.

As Gavin showed you, we do have elephants in the Copenhagen Zoo, and they've also got quite a big home now, with swimming possibilities and also chance for a good dust bath!

I haven't been to my Zoo for ages, but will soon, and promise to make you an elephant picture! :heart:
