Thanksgiving should be about "Thanks" for our blessing ,
I am thankful for many things in my life, especially for being blessed with great kids, friends and family.Learning about Thanksgiving it could be fun, not just because it is a wonderful American Tradition but also because it is associated with gatherings and what else ? Food...
The Cooking of a Turkey can make the Thanksgiving more glamorous..I am delighted to see that the way it is cooked has "Come a long Way...."
This video it is buttery delicious! Enjoy! and Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I hope you and Mrs Ravo had a delicious time together!

Ravo 28. November 2008, 03:07

Your description of those photos makes me salivate like one of Pavlov's dogs---of course, that salivation could be due to my sister's cooking, which was superb. We had a nice time!

dragon_harrower 28. November 2008, 03:28

Happy Thanksgiving Angeliki!

ellinidata 28. November 2008, 03:38

David,
Ivan's training did not reach this Greek girl,
but salivating is the only thing I have left enjoying these days!
I am delighted to know Thanksgiving in Utah was a delight!

ellinidata 28. November 2008, 03:40

One American turkey can feed 60 African families! :yikes:.
What do you do with the left overs? :left:.
P.S: they say "never bake your turkey higher than 300 degrees." My oven tops out at 270 degrees.

ellinidata 28. November 2008, 15:54

is it 270F or C ??? (the 300F it is very low this way the Turkey doesn;t get dry and cooks all the way through)....
I always order from Omaha Stakes (a well known order by mail company)a precooded Turkey breast, it is no hasle and I have no lefovers....
for the big families there is the "after Turkey Day" meals ,
there are 494736782302-934748747 recipes to follow,
I find these the best for starters:

DBabbit 29. November 2008, 05:00

I would love for you to come down - and bring the kids! We start cooking at least a week before, put everything in the freezer, and then start heating it all up Thanksgiving Eve. I'd like to have a smoked turkey next year - That'll happen if I can remember to pick up some hickory chips and charcoal!

ellinidata 29. November 2008, 18:07

I imagine how delicious that turkey will taste and I salivate already!!! enough reason to dream of Georgia for a year! thanks Denise

Olgita 2. December 2008, 20:15

Angeliki! Can you imagine how Turkish people who know English are carzy when they hear such words like "let`s eat delisious Turkey"!

LOL!

That`s why they want to write their counry like Turkiye!

edwardpiercy 2. December 2008, 22:07

You can have the turkey. I'll stick with the Georgia peaches.

ellinidata 2. December 2008, 22:27

Olgita,
i love both Turkey's

it is like the Greek Island Lesbos,
tje ladies of the island are called Lesbians...they like it or not!
(my mother in law was born in Lesbos)

ellinidata 2. December 2008, 22:28

Eddie,
I was wandering do these women ever eat??? (not the kind of Turkey you have in mind ...)

edwardpiercy 2. December 2008, 22:38

From what I hear most of them are more into meat than poultry.

You know, it's been at least a week since I polluted a post. So I thought to myself, "You know, I think I'll go pollute Angeliki's blog!"

And so I did.

ellinidata 2. December 2008, 22:43

please continue!!
I missed pollution !
that's what makes posts more interesting(at least to me)
