VA - Top Shelf 8/8/88 (2007)
> Introduction: 17 years ago a small recording studio, TOP <
> SHELF, located in the basement of a brownstone in the <
> East Village section of New York, was looted during the <
> Thompkins Square riots of 1988, displacing the recordings <
> of many soon-to-be Hip Hop stars. The studio had been the <
> meeting place for many rappers, neighborhood kids, and <
> producers that would later be responsible for the <
> greatest period of the Hip Hop age, The Golden Era. A <
> search commenced soon after the recordings were lost, but <
> nothing was ever found. So sought after were the tapes, <
> they soon acheived Holy Grail status amongst Hip Hop <
> circles. Despite years of searching, and dozens of <
> hopeless crusades, the tapes remained lost. No one was <
> quite sure who took them or where they were until now. <
> <
> After an extensive investigation and search that lasted <
> two years, the recordings have finally been recovered by <
> Fab 5 Freddy and myself (Benjy Grinberg). They were found <
> dozenss of miles from the site of TOP SHELF in an <
> abandoned strage facility in North Jersey [woot! Jersey <
> represent!]. We sought after the lost recordings of TOP <
> SHELF because they were rumored to be among the hottest <
> songs from that era, and we thought it was a tragedy that <
> the world never got to hear them. It turns out that these <
> two-inch tapes are truly a treasure chest-a time capsule <
> of the energy and excitement of 1988 Hip Hop. <

Frost - Blunts n Ballerz (2007)
Arturo Molina Jr. (born May 31, 1964 in East Los Angeles, California), better known as Kid Frost, is a Mexican American rap artist, who is regarded as one of the most widely recognized Chicano rappers in the hip hop industry. In 1995, Frost dropped the "Kid" from his nickname.

La Coka Nostra Presents Ill Bill - Black Metal (2007)
La Coka Nostra (or short LCN) is an American hip hop group, comprised mainly of all former members of House of Pain, one former member of Non Phixion, and various other MCs and producers.
The group's name is derived from the notorious criminal organization (La) Cosa Nostra, which means "our thing", with the Italian word "cosa" ("thing", meaning "business") being replaced by the Spanish word "coka", which stands for cocaine. Slaine has noted the idea for the name was to incorporate some slang with the gangster theme, so the name would mean "this dope thing of ours", with "dope" being slang for something "cool", and not actual drugs.
Core members
* Big Left (MC)
* Danny Boy (House of Pain hype man, idea/management/visual art direction)
* DJ Lethal (House of Pain and Limp Bizkit DJ/producer)

Joe Budden - The Album Before The Album (2007)
Joe Budden is known for his energy, his eclectic lyricism and his
emotional wordplay, all of which are showcased on The Album Before The
Album. Budden unleashes various thoughts through freestyling, like not
fitting in on "Outcast" and helping those less fortunate on "Broken Wing."
He also designs his own mash-up as he borrows the hook and rhythm from
"Outside" and flows over it, appropriately entitled "Staind" for the
metal band he borrowed the idea from. Budden also adds some heat for the
clubs with bangers like "Pop Off" and "Stuntin'," featuring Coke. With
such high energy and creative ideas, it's clear Joe Budden treated The
Album Before The Album like he's about to release an actual major label
album. The Growth will be out when Detox drops...
