Bank of New York (New York City) has introduced its Golfer's Classic MasterCard, aimed at a 20 million person market segment. The card, marketed by Affinity Group Marketing Inc., charges 13.9% interest (adjusted semiannually) and has no annual fee. Enhancements include discounts on equipment and a tournament at the Disney Inn in Florida for cardholders only. The initial direct mailing will arrive at four million homes and is tied in with magazine, country club, and pro shop displays.
