Bank One, Youngstown NA (OH) has developed the Flex credit card for the floor covering industry. Flex is available at the locations of merchants who sell floor coverings, and requests for the card are approved by Bank One within 30 minutes. Charges, averaging $1300 and up, are processed using a POS terminal and the ACH. The merchant sign up fee can be as low as $125. Bank One promoted Flex through a pop-up direct mail piece and through advertising in trade magazines, many of which donated the advertising space.
