Many first time mothers go through a lot of things during their pregnancy, and constipation is one of them. While it is not anything that will threaten their overall health, it can make things very uncomfortable for them. Most of the constipations symptoms are easily addressed and there is no need to suffer. Sometimes constipation remedies are more about prevention than anything else.
Something that many pregnant women suffer from is hemorrhoids. Many publications put these out there as though they are something that is just natural to experience. That is not true at all. Many women get them because they do not take the steps to prevent them from happening when their body starts to tell them that there are problems.
Hemorrhoids are not something that anyone should have to go through, especially an expecting mother. If you have never experienced hemorrhoids or the painful surgery that is associated with getting rid of them, count your blessings because it can be extremely difficult to handle. Trying to go to the bathroom after having surgery may be more painful than having the child.
Any mom that is having problems going to the bathroom on a regular basis is getting a surefire warning sign from her body. In many cases, this problem can be fixed with a proper diet, drinking more water and some exercise. We all know pregnant women get their urges for food, but there still needs to be an influx of cereals, vegetables and fiber with the pickles and ice cream!
Our bodies are very intuitive and they have no problem telling us that something is amiss. Unfortunately, that usually results in pain or some type of discomfort. Constipation is not something that should just be dismissed, especially when someone is carrying a baby.
One thing to keep in mind is that there is a baby to think of. Because of this, a doctor's advice is always a smart move. Some exercises may be too difficult for a pregnant woman to do and the doctor can give specific advice on what can and cannot be done. Just to play it safe, schedule a visit and run everything by them.
Constipation is always a problem, but when someone is pregnant, it is even worse. Avoid the bloating feeling and the cramps that follow by merely eating right, flushing your system with plenty of water and getting in some exercise.
Like we said, why suffer when you don't have to?
