Hugh Mundell - Blackman's Foundation

The tone and mix on reggae drums make all the difference in the album as a whole. If you ask me it can make or break the album. The tone and mix of the drums on this album are on point. From the opening fill to the sweet sound of the hi-hats. And then you have Hugh's sweet sweet voice. I think he was about 16 when this was recorded. This also has some great musicians on it . Like Augustus, Chinna, Horsemouth, and Freddie McGregor. I LOVE this one. It kinda has a dub feel to it, with dublike breakdowns. The album Hugh Mundell - "Hugh Mundell" is one of the greatest dub albums of all time. Unfortnaletly it is also very hard to find. I once had a copy, but I can no longer find it. Oh, well. At least I got to hear it. If you do like dub, and like what you hear here. Check out "Scientist Wins The World Cup". It is some dub from the album "Mundel".
