İnsan ile nisyan yani unutmak kelimesi aynı kökten türetilmiştir.
Bu sebeple 'insan nisyandan alınmıştır' derler.
Bir yoruma göre Âdem aleyhisselamın ilahi tembihi unutup yasak ağacın meyvesini yemesi
sebebiyle kendisine ve hemcinsine insan denilmiştir.
