My innermost secrets and my uttermost fears

Act of (very very very) random kindness number 2

, , ,

And number 1 is way too long ago.

So there was this guy on the train, right. From Oslo or something, going to Gardermoen. But, he was listening to music, so he didn't hear when they said "the next station is oslo airport Gardermoen". So, at Eidsvoll Verk he asked the conductor: when do we get to the airport? and was told that that was 10 minutes ago, and that the train was not returning there. At which point he got stressed and a little angry at the conductor. Cause he didn't have money for a taxi, and he had a plane to catch, back home to England. (He is half english half italian smile )

So I called Dad and pleaded, in Norwegian, to pleeeeease pleeeease drive this random person to Gardermoen. And in the end he said yes, and I told the random person that Dad could drive him. And he was so happy, and it was quite fun to watch. He wanted to pay me and all, but I mean, what do I care. Just to see how happy he was was totally more than enough payment. I told him, when he asked what he owed me, "a chocolate" smile And then he started talking all about himself, and his trip, and how this was just a very weird end to it, but that God had his ways. And I just smiled and nodded. Though I mean. Here I go being all nice and he gives the credit to God... Wellwell smile He was very thankful to me as well smile smile He said thank you many many many times. I think he even said God bless you, and that's been a while since anyone has said to me (if ever). Strange that one doesn't remember these thing, one just confuses reality with movies and movies with reality, so although I have heard those words many many times before, I don't think they have ever really been spoken to me, until now smile

Now unfortunately Dad had only brought the 2-seater car, so I couldn't go with them, but he drove him to the airport anyway. And I'm gonna pay back by helping with christmas cards tomorrow. Dad got his name and email, so yayness to that. Will mail him now smile

Also like 3 people spoke english to me at work today smile
Cheers! Salute!

Happy Birthday MacBook!On expectations
