Long time no write!

Hi all (assuming anybody reads this) I have been inexcusably lazy the past eternity, and have decided to increase the frequency of my blogs now, before I head off to school where I won't have time to write if I'm not addicted to it. So, by August 11th, I will become addicted to blogging. I hope. A quick recap of some of the most interesting and important things that have happened lately.
The desserts at Fratelli are really good. I mean REALLY good. Try them. Especially the pancake thing. With the ice cream and the cream and the chocolate sauce. Yum.
A couple of weeks ago I headed off to the US for the umphteenth time this year, to vacation. After a day in NJ with my Grandmother I headed down to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to visit my awesome friends Flori and Eric. We went to New Orleans, to church, to the State Capitol, and to The Party Store, where I bought some cake decorating metal pieces! Yay!

Then I flew down to Florida to see my family in the big pink house that we go to every year
This year I did NOT get sunburned! I also discovered that Kayaking is much more fun with Danny, Michael, and Alex, than it is with Mom, who goes way too fast, and doesn't stop to get out of the kayak and walk around in the mud among the mangroves. I have now discovered the real reasons for kayaking; relaxation and adventure. Fun! We also played charades, which was awesome. I Worked a long time on Bohemian Rhapsody.... Eric, one of the chefs, put on a fireworks show for us (even though it was a day early for the 4th of July)PS: I caught that lime, as it was rolling off the table. From like far away I ran and I caught it. Yay for me!
Then we went to the Edison/Ford museum in ft. Myers. did you know if Henry Ford hadn't been that persistent, and convicing, we would have been driving Edison's electric cars for a 100 years instead of gasoline cars? This tree is a rubber tree. Or a fig tree. Anyways: Pay special attention to the word "a":
Then we flew back to Norway, and we had a 7 hour layover in Dusseldorf. I like that place, and this is why: We walk out into the departure hall (hoping to check in early for our next flight) and there is a symphony orchestra playing Swan Lake. We sit down and listen, they continue playing some other stuff for about an hour. How awesome is that. A free concert with a symphony orchestra to cheer you up from boring-plane mood!
Then we head off again towards the check in counters. But before we get there, we are stopped by a very comfy-looking bed, and a bunch of people that would love me to jump on it. So I sign something, take a leap, and smile for the camera. I am entered in a contest to win 10 000 Euros, which I will not, but they still gave me a free 1GB USB stick! Oh how I love publicity stunts!
Vote for me!

Then we went to an old (1000 yeas old) castle by the rhine, and to a restaurant where I ate Gnocchi (really good pasta). In the town, which is called Keiserswerth, we also stumbled upon a tivoli with like 10 people in it, and a marching parade. Go figure. We definitely came at the right time, whatever they were celebrating
Then we went and slept/played/took pictures in a playground. I like Keiserwerth. The past days, since I got home, I have been thoroughly unproductive, and have achieved the following:
- Got halfway in cleaning my room
- Looked for the piece of paper with the code on it so I could check my chem results
- Written my resignation from my beloved Kiwi
- Tried to buy plane tickets to America, only to realize they are 3 times more expensive than they were 2 weeks ago. Ugh.
- Bought tickets to America, with a layover in Copenhagen
- Had a driving lesson*
- Made dinner, and sacrificed my daily trip to Lillestrøm because of it. I suppose that counts for something.
*My driving teacher is mighty awesome and has managed to book me a driving test on the 10th of August, the day before I leave for America! Now lets pray I pass shall we

Danny is coming now, then his cousin Rachel is coming in a couple of days, then we are going up in the mountains to look at beautiful nature! Yay!
