Muffins Galore
Friday, March 30, 2007 5:04:23 PM
Today was the last official Friday of cakes.
We might just bake some on Tuesday and Wednesday, too, maybe ever Thursday after easter. Then the time is up...Alexandra called all flabbergasted and exclaimed that we have 72 000 in the bank, which means that we're only missing 12000 krs to beat last year. We can do this!
Anyway, the teachers managed to eat all but 15 muffins, so I went around Lillestrøm selling the rest to unsuspecting strangers. I even sold one to Stephen Brandt-Hansen, the guy who plays Jean Valjean in the Les Miserables show playing in Lillestrøm Kultursenter these days. He sings really nice. I was to shy to say much other than "Do you want to buy a muffin?", though.
Some of us are going to Oslo tomorrow to collect money, with bøsser. We can do that, too! We are mostly girls, so we have a big chance of collecting a lot if we only smile as much as we can. 'Tis the sad fact of reality, but we can use it (to a certain extent).
A Swedish guy bought a muffin, then later asked me lots about my electricity bill, which I for some reason actually knew the answers to, then I mentioned that my dad is responsible for the electricity papers in our house, turns out he thought I was 18 all along, lol, and he was like surprised when I said I wasn't. That is my compliment of the day, it is always nice when someone thinks I am older than I really am.
I can think of someone who over and over has the opposite thing happening... That has a good side too (cheap), so I guess it's all fair.
Paka!
