I would say "My friend, somebody alone, I know many people in your exact exact same situation. Together we will come up with a plan to overcome the obstacles which were holding you back. We'll come up with a plan that will enable you to get your 15lb weight loss", or something like that anyway.
How many times do you have that inner battle with yourself? The following tips will allow you to stay motivated to start out and stick with your exercise program to help you reach your goals and live a strong and healthy life.
Tip #1: Goal-Setting
We've all heard that individuals should set goals. To be effective they need to be specific and have a time frame. When you first sit down and take into consideration what you want--set a few goals. Write down where you want to be in 6 months, 3 months, and every week.
If your goal may be to lose 15lbs, you will write that inside 6 month spot. In the 3 month spot, note down lose 10lbs, then in you weekly spot you may write down 1lb. It's going to look like this:
6 months - I will lose 15 lbs by June 30, 2007
a few months - I will drop 10 lbs by Mar. 31, 2007
Weekly - I will lose 1 lb a week.
Idea #2: Take Action
"If you always do what you've constantly done, you're always planning to get what you've always got"
I love this quote. If you will be overweight, or underweight or just don't like something then you definately have to do this to change. In this task write down the measures steps, the "how to's" to get you to your goals.
For example: How will you lose 15 lbs in a few months? - I will exercise 3-4 times a week for 1/2 hour-45 minutes. I will create better healthy eating plan by cutting my handsome consumption.
In 3-4 months, I will lose 10 pounds by doing 20-30 min's of cardio 3 days a week and strength training 2-3 times a week for 1/2 hour.
I most certainly will lose 1 lb of fat per week by eating lean beef and veggies. I will observe the 80: 20 regulation. 80% of the time period eat well, 20% almost daily I can have some of my favourite treats. (Note: Be cautious, this is a small percentage space to eat freely and indulge in whatever you want. Be cautious when choosing these types of foods)
You can and It is best to get very specific. Write down exactly what exercises you will do, the days and time you certainly will perform them. Keep your appointment with yourself, better do them with friends. Sometimes you will have to give yourself a major push, but do it and you will feel great afterwards.

If you value to ride your bicycle, or rollerblade, then do these for your activity or cardio times. Get the kids, call a friend and get out there and revel in yourself.
