Real friends have the advantage of being real. However, they can fail you for whatever reason, real or imaginary for them, and there's nothing you can do about it.
Imaginary friends have the disadvantage of being imaginary. However, they only fail when you fail. There's something you can do about it: Don't fail.
Considering this, which ones have more real advantage? Evidently, either reality is imaginary or imagination is reality.

A laugh expresses glee in any language, but is laugh glee? Hugs and kisses express love, but are they love?
These questions have three kinds of answers depending on the kind of people who answers. Naive people answer 'yes' to these questions. Some of those who answer 'no' will begin to doubt the existence of glee and love, because it is much harder to doubt laugh and hugs.
Still others, however, realise the reality of parallel worlds. A finger can point to the moon, but the finger is not the moon. Both have their own parallel reality in their respective worlds, which are to be kept consciously apart.
Admittedly, the finger and the moon have a link with each other, in the sense that one points to the other. However, that link is always indirect, contrived. The link is good for some purposes, but ultimately unreal.
