Eppur Si Muove

To avoid criticism, do nothing, say nothing, be nothing

How Would You Reply?

If a long time ago, before being born, you were asked 'would you like to live in this world in which you don't know when to start, how much you have time there, and without knowing whom you should leave when pulling out?', how would you reply?

As for me, I would have politely rejected it.

what are the options?
I guess I'd accept

Elias Yemreli 30. September 2009, 16:24

No specific option  Just your opinion.

Oleg 30. September 2009, 17:42

well if there are no options and you just disappear in "nothingness" should you reject, than I'd really prefer human life
otherwise it really depends

PainterWoman 30. September 2009, 17:49

I can only answer from the knowledge I have now and that would be to accept.

Elias Yemreli 1. October 2009, 03:55

Hmm. For me, it's not a fair world. I believe I don't even deserve my current situation (socially, economically, ...) since I didn't choose it. I could have been born in a very poor (however we define it) family, city or country. While I'm thinking and planning to improve my life, lots of people are trying just to stay alive.

And lots of other reasons. I don't reject life now, but if I were asked, my answer would have been 'no'.

Zephirine 1. October 2009, 09:29

"No" for me, too!!
But I think I would wonder if I would be able to "create" something even in that doubtful situation.

Elias Yemreli 1. October 2009, 12:41

Hi Zephirine, how are you  Long time, no see

Could you please explain what you mean by "create"?

I agree with you here except that I DID choose my current situation. I left a very rich man to be on my own and poor, but I am at peace with that. I love the quietness with no demands and criticism.

Darkest Hour 4. October 2009, 13:31

Well... its true isnt it?

Elias Yemreli 4. October 2009, 15:23

Yes, for sure

Jacco Besseling 5. October 2009, 16:48

You could wonder if being born in another time would be any better than being born in the life you have now. For me, I think the answer is that it wouldn't be. But I don't have enough experience for deciding about my life.

Elias Yemreli 5. October 2009, 17:00

Hi Jarco. How have you been?

I agree with you; we can't predict it whether the other one will be better or not. But at least I know about this one as I have lived it

Jacco Besseling 5. October 2009, 18:03

Well, maybe it's just a little bit early to say that! :o: You're not old and you can still do a lot with your life! :D Stay optimistic and keep trying.

I'm fine, Elias, thanks. I have been a little ill, but it wasn't that bad. Now the weather here is worsening, it's getting autumn (and really really wet). :frown:

Slava 5. October 2009, 19:16

Ну, таки а что раньше было? Курица или яйцо?

Slava 5. October 2009, 19:19

Weather is a real shit, wet and cold. I want summer back!!!!

Elias Yemreli 6. October 2009, 01:59

 Well, I'll keep you up on that

Elias Yemreli 6. October 2009, 02:04

Hi Slava  Well, I'm not sure, but maybe the hen :D It's right now 1 Celsius here. I really enjoy cold weather. But people are telling me here 'wait and we'll see who likes the cold weather'!!!

Slava 7. October 2009, 21:24

The main problem is not the temperature, but the moisture, here in spb is very wet so our minus ten is the same as minus 30 where the wether is dry.

Elias Yemreli 8. October 2009, 08:34

I see! I didn't know you lived in St. Petersburg - the famous St. Petersburg

Slava 13. October 2009, 04:47

The most famous swamp land in the world )))))) after Devonshire, I suppose.

Elias Yemreli 13. October 2009, 07:42

Da?!

Oleg 13. October 2009, 18:20

Da!
the weather in SPb is really ugly

Elias Yemreli 14. October 2009, 02:49

I seeeeee  Even uglier than Novosibirsk? Right now, it's -2 here in Novosibirsk and 2 in St. Petersburg (Celsius).

Oleg 14. October 2009, 07:00

I've never been to Novosibirsk
In SPb it's because it's north and the sea is near - so the weather may change every 10 minutes from clear sky to rain and back again

Oleg 14. October 2009, 07:00

Elias Yemreli 15. October 2009, 07:07

I see. You've been to Novosibirsk Slava to compare them?

Slava 18. October 2009, 10:52

My friends lived there and latter they had moved to SpB and then to Moscow, so they told me that the most ugly weather was in Spb.
PS Its my dream to visit Novosibirsk)))

Elias Yemreli 18. October 2009, 12:31

:D I see! Do let me know if you plan to visit Novosibirsk. I'll be at your service here

AlexAnder Frozen 20. October 2009, 11:00

Well, I've already said 'YES'. And as you're here, you've answered the same.

Elias Yemreli 20. October 2009, 12:41

Thank you for your comment Alex
