In MX the main cell carrier company is Telcel, their slogan says "Todo Mexico es Territorio Telcel" and it's been a while since I found out that that isn't true
Today I got to speak with Pau over the phone. This is quite an accomplishment because her cell is always out of range. The same thing has happened to me every time I go out.
Technology is advancing quite fast, but here in MX were behind when it comes to communicaton.

When we had problems with the hurricanes last year, I lost cell phone ability for several days. In fact, we got our electricity back after only 6 days, but it was nearly two weeks for the cell.
