New Traditions

Starting a new tradition is usually difficult at best but this one evolved rather naturally. My kiddos and I decided that we needed to do something to change the holiday season from a dreaded occurance to be ignored until it went away to a tolerable event and perhaps eventually becoming something we can once again enjoy. To this end, we decided we would get together every Christmas Eve at home (my place - where they finished growing up) to pig-out and get snot-faced (mostly snot-faced). Well our second annual get together was a blast. We ate, drank, and laughed till it hurt. We actually listened to Christmas music. A good time was had by all and we have enough funny stories to last until next year......from Lacey's extra-crunchy string beans to Rachel dressing up one of the cats in a Santa outfit (the cat did not quite appreciate it as much as we did). It seems that we are well on our way to accomplishing our goal. Long live new traditions.

Fixed everything/everyone that needed fixin'.

I refuse to reconnect to the 'net until I can afford broadband.....that should be fairly soon.

5 things I'd like to see in Opera and MyOpera

I was tagged by Steve (sgunhouse) for Opera Watch's "5 things I'd like to see in Opera."

Here's my list......

1> Better file management for uploaded files and created directories. Right now it is impossible to organize them at all.

2> A first-class spell checker. Not some add-on that has minimal features. Yes, I've tried the js add-ons and whatnot.........a first-class browser suite deserves a comparable spell checker.

3> Sorting of Groups on my Forums Homepage (http://my.opera.com/community/forums/). I would like to put the most active at the top of the list.

4> Blog posts that can have view limited to certain individuals. Only A, B, & C can see this post but only X, Y, & Z can see this other one.

5> Subscriptions (http://my.opera.com/community/forums/subscriptions.dml). I'm at a loss for words but something needs to be done to make it more functional......I never even use it anymore.

This took so long to do that now my foot's asleep..............I wonder what it's dreaming about?
