Simpler versions of the game require that girls make only one-layer cakes; however, more complex versions include three layers of cake and three layers of frosting.

IGameFlash is another free website that allows girls to play a variety of cooking and baking games, though these games require that the user is able to read instructions. Rather than simply design and bake at their discretion, IGameFlash games require that girls follow instructions so that they learn how to make the desserts in a real kitchen. Oat & Raisin teaches girls how to make oatmeal raisin cookies and requires that girls mix ingredients in three separate bowls with a variety of utensils, including spatulas and wooden spoons. Other games teach girls how to make pecan chocolate pie, pineapple bread, apple cake, bread rolls, muffins, cupcakes and more. Although this game is for older girls, users learn the order and ingredients necessary to make real desserts.
