Those pesky toddler temper tantrums can put a cramp in anyones day. I know, I have been there. Truly, to start down your parenting road and to nip tantrums at any age you need to first start with yourself. You cannot make your child do something for the rest of your life. However, you do have control over what you do and how you do it. That is vital to your success - believe in yourself or else your children will not believe in you either.
Better Questions Give Better Answers - The Right Questions Parents Need To Ask
Bear with me - I am going to get into a bit of the 'self-help' area, but it is where you need to start to overcome the struggles with your children. It has been said that the quality of your life is determined by the quality of the questions you ask. That means you need to stop asking yourself, Why are my kids throwing tantrums and start focusing on questions that get to what you really want. Here are some examples:
- Why Are My Children So Respectful?
- Why Do My Children Listen To Me The First Time I Speak?
Just take a few index cards (or a bunch - it is completely up to you) and write down your questions. Start all of them with a 'Why'. Just read through the cards before you go to bed and when you first get up each day. It won't take long and before you know it, you will see a difference.
