Cubism was part of the larger modernest movement that took place in the early 20's of century.If you are unfamiliar with Cubism,just think Picasso and you will have a pretty good picture of its basic principles.Cubism was almost the total break from earlier traditions in painting.In fact,it was about a million late of years away from earliers forms of painting.It basically rejected realistic portrayal of its subjects in favour of a view from several different perspectives at one time.Cubist paintings don't conform to what we normallythink os as beauty.There is no attempt that symmetry or harmony.Everything is just a jumble of images and angles but this reflected how many .../(so the word)at this time.Just a hip of (scader)the events,but no underlining order, are caused.
