We have finally thought that the bad weather will be/stay gone until december. Didn't happen, and Gina has no gloves anymore. The nice gloves Santa gave her are now *somewhere* in Austria... If you are an Austrian and accidentally found some nice warm grey leather gloves.. just let us know. Gina will be *so* happy

New York, US, travel
We have spent the new year's eve and some days after in NewYork. Got extremely lucky to manage all the visa paper-work in just few days, made fast reservations and we hoped for the best. We've got very lucky, since the "random one of the cheapest" hotel we booked was located ON Broadway, at half the distance from Central Park to Times Square. It's broadway, so we couldn't avoid meeting face-to-face with Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony. Too bad we're not their fans, really...
Anyway, we made hundreds of pictures and uploaded some of them in the gallery. See below:
-
cityscapes,
- the empire state building,
- statue of liberty,
- central park,
-
uss intrepid museum,
-
grand central station,
-
museum of sex,
-
Guggenheim museum,
-
Natural History Museum,
- boat trips,
- the WTC site (sad aspect these days).

games, board games, mexica, fun
...
We have a passion for board games. Apart from Scrabble (where Marius always wins) and Monopoly (where Gina is unbeatable), we have recently discovered two games of major attraction to us and our friends. Thanks to our friend Mihai, who provided the games.
In order:
1. Mexica
On an existing map, players must build and found districts, then add aztec buildings on them. No luck is involved as each one benefits from a fixed number of moves (action points) and it's all about the strategy to win.
2. Carcassone
Even though is somewhat based on luck (extracting cards), and Gina seems to be always the luckiest, it is still very strategic and tremendous fights are set in motion. One can always use his current card to set up new territories (castles, monasteries, roads, fields), to prevent the other from expanding or to attempt stealing the others' properties. The more players, the more complicated the strategy.

We've added the greatest pictures from our latest trip. We did Europe by bus in two weeks (got very tired), but saw:
Wien,
Venice and
Limoges. Then,
Paris,
Notre-Dame de Reims and lovely
Budapest.
Feel free to send us your comments.
