Five-month-old Irma the abandoned orang-utan puts a comforting hand around Dema the month-old tiger cub -that also abandoned by his mother-, before they both drift off to sleep, February 26, 2007. Both are bottlefed by staff at the Nursery Room of Taman Safari Animal Hospital in Java, Indonesia. Sumatran tigers, which grow to 8ft long and can weigh up to 300lb, are an endangered species with only several hundreds estimated to be left in the world. In their natural habitat, they might normally regard a baby orang utan as a snack. While orang-utans -also critically endangered- would be more likely be looking down from the tallest trees of the rainforest. (Photo by Dimas Ardian)
