Colour me shocked that antediluvian football analyst Andy Gray and half-man half-gorilla Richard Keys hold some sexist views about women in football.

Their comments are not quite as boneheaded as the racist comments by Big Fat Ron a few years back, but they are the product of the same lazy out of date thought processes.

No chance of them being sacked, I suppose, and given our employment laws and the whole "written warning" process you have to go through to get shot of someone, that is fair enough, but they should at least make an on air apology.

Harumph!

Particularly neanderthal especially as the best ref we have had in the West Midlands League this season was a woman

I can think of many other reasons why Messrs Gray & Keys should be given the push. This one will do as an excuse, but it is more of a symptom of their obnoxiousness, as they parade their insensitive and biased twaddle to the public on a regular basis. Gray is a total suck-up to anyone successful and Keys is someone whose easy delivery has got him where he is rather than any knowledge of football.

But then what do I know - I actually like Mark Lawrenson.

What is beginning to sicken me is the mumber of "Industry Experts" being pasraded on the TV and radio saying it was just banter and other garbage like "Women should get a thick skin.

Its times like this I am ashamed to be a man and a lover of football
