2004,最耀眼的一首应该是When you say nothing at all.不过我更喜欢If I didn't know any better.
Blue grass是Country music分支，清灵纯正自不用说。加上Alison Krauss天籁之音，其气韵可想而知……
Alison Krauss这个女歌手从走上音乐道路时就是乡村音乐界最耀眼也最被期待的明星，她一直跟蓝草风格的Union Station乐队合作到现在。5岁开始学习小提琴及古典音乐。在14岁那年，Alison Krauss跟Rounder唱片公司签约，并在两年后发行了个人的第一张专辑唱片，紧接着她人生的第一次辉煌就来到了，年仅18岁的Alison Krauss获得了流行音乐界的重要奖项－－葛莱美奖。而长期以来她在乡村音乐上的努力，当然也使得这个女歌手在音乐素质和演唱实力方面有着相当杰出的表现，所以在得到第一座葛莱美以后，Alison Krauss就成为了这个奖项上的常客，并获得了所有人的认同，这也是对她个人的一种实质的肯定。

20世纪40年代，在肯塔基州的山区还出现了乡村音乐的另一个分支，叫蓝草音乐（Bluegrass Music）。它在乡村音乐的基础上，吸收了当地古老的玉米脱粒晚会上的班卓音乐和提琴音乐，以及南部山区的叙事歌曲等因素发展而成。
蓝草音乐的演唱一般都是多声部的，除主旋律声部外，往往还在上方用假声叠置一个和声声部，有时还在主旋律下方加上一两个低音声部。它的伴奏乐器以班卓琴和提琴而独具特色，有时还采用曼陀林、低音提琴等民间乐器，传统乡村音乐没有架子鼓的特点也在蓝草音乐中得到了保留。蓝草音乐的速度一般都比较快，每分钟160-330拍左右。
蓝草音乐在发展过程中受到爵士乐的影响，常在器乐段落中出现比较华丽的即兴独奏。70年代，当其他乡村音乐普遍采用电声乐器时，他们仍采用传统乐器演奏。
