Fiona and Les' Page

About me

We are a Christian couple who live and work in the Chittagong Hill Tracts of Bangladesh. We enjoy living in this beautiful and fascinating country. For the past two years, we have tried to immerse ourselves in the local language and culture. Over the coming years, we hope that our love for and understanding of the people and country deepens and grows.

Les enjoys the outdoors and wildlife which is why he studied Biology at university before becoming a secondary school science teacher. Amongst his other interests are bird watching, foreign cinema, reading and travel. He is currently studying for a degree in Theology by distance learning.

Fiona was seemingly at university forever before becoming an NHS dietitian. She has many interests but not enough time to pursue them. She particularly enjoys cooking (and eating), crafts, films, reading and travel.

My work

As mission workers, our role is to support the local community and church. We work full time at Christian Hospital Chandraghona as an administrator and nutritionist. In our free time, we are trying to get to know people from different backgrounds. We have a special interest in environmental issues, community empowerment and social justice. We hope that through our lives and work, we can share something of God's love with the people of Bangladesh.
