It was them who advocated the 8 hour day movement. 8 hours for work, 8 hours for recreation, 8 hours for rest. On 21 April 1856 Stonemasons and building workers on building sites around Melbourne, Australia, stopped work and marched from the University of Melbourne to Parliament House to achieve an eight hour day. Their direct action protest was a success, and they are noted as the first organized workers in the world to achieve an eight hour day with no loss of pay, which subsequently inspired the celebration of Labour Day. To serves the government, what I mean is he is going to take the exam of civil servant. Civil servant? What is that for? The definition of this noun is the one works in the government departments. In China, this kind of people supposed to do something good to the civilians of the local city. But actually this position is considered to be the gold bowl of life. Once you get it you never gonna lose. Average salary with well subsidy and unimaginable gray income. Working in government means have the privilege to do something much more easily. One who wants the favor is inevitably welling to pay for the privilege assessment. My friend knows that, but he is not getting involved for money, the power instead. He said he pretty much enjoy the feeling of power, handling all things in his palm. Although he is aware of the corruption of this “black box” processing. Last night (6-Feb-07) was my cousin wedding banquet. To us, I mean my family and two uncles' families, was just the get together party at most. Because we always sit around and have a big family talk, from east to west, up to sky down on earth. And they touched upon the trip to AirShow2006 Zhuhai China of my father. They bantered that my father's trip was total a waste of money. What was more, they laughed at him an stupid for the purchase of a RC helicopter. Maybe there is a little be weird that a half-hundred-year old man to buy a boy toy RC chopper, but so what, this is him, my father, who is longing for a ride of aeroplane for long year. He is a man who works alone outside with five, sometimes six mouths to feed. I can’t say he works around the clock all day but one thing I can sure is he works without any daybreak, even when he was sick. He couldn’t afford time to look for joy but now he could afford notes to buy it. So anything wrong with that? There was his money, he earned by himself, whatever to buy was according to his heart content, no one can lay his hands on that. Horace was right, and Horace is also right till now. Carpe diem, this is exact my lifestyle. People work all day to keep their living, however, their life become from dull to dim. What is the most shameful is they don’t notice, those kinds of people are stuck to that life, a repeatedly mechanical and monotonous life. This is not the essence of the carpe diem style. No matter how much money we earn, we can’t bring them into the coffin when we die, currents used on earth are not current in heaven. That mean we have to spend some of them when they are to be spent.
