Version 1.0 Alpha 2 Release

, , , ...

Fix the Web has not been reviewed for listing in the Opera extensions catalog yet, but I've already upgraded it! smile This version brings a couple bug fixes:

Changelog

  • Text alignment in the reports frame modified up on certain websites. Now text is always aligned to the left as it should be.
  • Fixed problem with backslashes being shown before quotation marks in the comment panel.
  • Fixed a problem with the "Report Site Problem" form that could prevent the reported site problem from being counted in the badge.
  • LOTS of button/badge fixes. The initial alpha release actually had a lot of problems with the button and badge that I didn't discover until after I released it. For example, if you clicked the button and in the popup window and clicked "View recent bug reports", the "Recent bug reports" page would open, but if you went back to the original tab, the button would be disabled. Another problem was if you loaded "Tab 1", the number of error reports for the web page in Tab 1 would show in the extension's button badge. But if you went over to "Tab 2", the number of error reports for Tab 1 still showed in the button's badge. Both of these problems should be fixed now.

Grab the latest version (updated) and let me know if there are any bugs. Make sure to uninstall the previous version if it is installed because I don't have an auto-update system in effect.

Version 1 Alpha Released!

, , , ...

I'm pleased to announce the first release of Fix the Web, 1.0 Alpha!

It is pending review for the Opera extensions catalog, but you can grab the install file right now.

There are two known issues on the "View Recent Bug Reports" page (index.html) in the extension:

1. If you click on a report, a modal popup will appear. If you click on the "plugins and screen" link, it will be null.
2. Pagination isn't working correctly.

These are actually caused by bugs in the server-side code, so they should be fixed soon.

If you have time, please test the extension, and inform me of any bugs you find in it.
