A place to get and give info about the Security Industry

Rein Worldwide: Does anyone out there know anything about this company?

, , , , ,

On Craig's List there is a posting looking for security personnel to work PSD and static security in Iraq and Afghanistan. They are advertising that pay starts at $250 per day. The posting does not list the name of the company.

Flaccid P shot them an email asking for basic information such as company name, contract information, etc.

Received back an email from a yahoo accont with an attached "rules" letter. The rules letter was in MS Word and honestly looked pretty half assed.

The company name and logo on the letterhead is Rein International Inc. Have started asking around and no one has heard of them.

Did an online search and could not locate any company information or any news articles.

I checked out the website and it is very poor quality and looks like it was done VERY low budget. The link to the website is: http://www.reinworldwide.com/index.html

Has anyone out there heard of these guys or worked with them before?

NEW INFORMATION:
Just found an article from the Ashville NC Citizen Times that lists newly formed corporations. Rein Worldwide was formed last month.

They also came up as a vendor that is going after a contract that is currently on hold in Iraq. To view the solicitation information go to the following link. Rein Worldwide appears on the "interested vendor list" tab.

Anonymous writes: They are in CCR, ORCA and WHOIS - appear legit... If you are seeking work - NEVER send a resume with full contact info just a cell phone, name and maybe an e-mail address. Never send DD-214 and resume in same e-mail (you should never send the DD214 anyways - it is unsecure) you are asking for ID theft and loss of security clearance... Employers DO NOT understand the weak link in ALL SECURITY in the SECURITY INDUSTRY is HR...

Face Shooter writes: This is what I'd call a clue that they are goofy: "We work very closely with the world leaders and Joint Chiefs of Staff to ensure our missions go as smoothly as possible and keep the collateral damage to a minimum." Thats really goofy IMO

On the money Face Shooter. They sent me an "application packet" online and the format was MS Word. As an IC, I send out all my documents in Adobe so they can't be altered for my own security. Would think that I "big" company would do the same. They wanted me to sign my life over to them and give them all my informatin with little more than a "we have something and once we qualify you, will let you know more."

Anonymous writes: Has anyone heard of or worked for TCS "Thomas Computer Solutions". Their website is located at tcscorporate.com I found them offering security positions in Iraq on craigslist.org in the dallas section. I replied to them with a so-called "resume" stating my former law enforcement background. They sent me a ten page packet to fill out asking me to give them my passport info, 4 photo copies of passport, finger prints, medical record, driving record, credit report, and a few other things that slipped my mind. I realize this is probably standard procedure when working for a goverment contract, but just to ease my mind about giving up all this information could someone tell me if they know this company is legit? Thank you in advance to any helpful responses.
