Yeah, yeah. The question is - will people remember this loudly enough the next time Tim Russert starts to fantasise about his imaginary tough- loving father figure when speaking about the president, while slightly blushing?
You know what - fuck it. None of this makes sense - they're at one time so unbelievably uninterested that when the higest official of the land says torture is a legitimate tool for extracting confessions - not a damned thing happens. But they're also so engaged it's possible to generate a nation- wide storm of controversy around a preening retard like Bush.
Does that make sense to anyone?
The established pundit class is worse than useless. They have a vested interest in turning politics into a parlor game where vacuous horserace "analysis" substitutes for bothering to understand policy. They are not biased Left or Right, they are biased towards preserving their monopoly over the power to determine the content and form of "legitimate" political expression, the criteria for which they have reduced to the most hideously inane levels imaginable.
