"Pace Demurs on Accusation of Iran
(General Says He Knows Nothing Tying Leaders to Arms in Iraq
By Karen DeYoung
Washington Post Staff Writer
Tuesday, February 13, 2007; Page A18)"
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/02/12/AR2007021201537.html

"We know that the explosively formed projectiles are manufactured in Iran," Pace told Voice of America during a visit to Australia. "What I would not say is that the Iranian government, per se, knows about this."

(...)

Pace's comments came a day after U.S. military officials in Baghdad alleged that the "highest levels" of the Iranian government have directed use of weapons that are killing U.S. troops in Iraq. No information was provided to substantiate the charge. Administration officials yesterday deflected requests for more details, even as they repeatedly implied Tehran's involvement.

Of course, as always, in the middle of the paper, instead of on the front or opposite the editor's comments. But I guess our intrepid friends at the desk of the Washington Post simply can't be arsed to print something critical of the Bush- administration on the main pages, of course, in fear of losing their exclusive access to the "senior administration officials", and have their name as a paper dragged through the mud and smeared to a pulp because of political interests going bonkers. Eh?

Bloody idiots.

On theories on foreign policy...So, what is diplomacy with Iran....
