.. is real this time, it seems. Unfortunately, it's because someone important enough dares to break from some of Bush's central tenets OFFICIALLY. Like talking to your enemies, and considering reality - simply because "standing on principle" as Karl Rove puts it, just isn't going to save any lives in Iraq. But this, too, would pass, I'm afraid, if it wasn't for the fact that the establishment has come to the rescue. Much as it did rescue Bush, after 9/11. They know where the wind is blowing, no doubt about that.
Anyway. Glenn Greenwald, who can in fact read an impressive amount of rightie blogs and still be capable of coming back to tell the tale, is describing how the Neocons are squirming right now.
And for the occation I'll post a copy of BBC Radio 4's Friday Play from some time back:
