World of Flimmer

because blogging is all about random musings

The start of something beautiful - my second attempt at creating a blog

, , ,

Hmmm ... this is my second attempt at creating a blog. The first one died a very natural death - I tried to make it too technical and pretentious. That was obviously not a very good idea. So instead of writing long essays about what makes the web tick and the latest developments in the dark, hidden corners of laboratories I intend to use a more personal approach. Hey! What could go wrong?

Okay - first thing I need to do is to make a shortcut to this page so I wont have to dig up a bookmark from deep inside a fav list. Next thing is that I will have to try to make at least two blogs a week. That should be doable, don't you think?

And the intended audience for this blog? Actually - I don't have anyone I want to communicate my thoughts to. This is more meant as a way of putting down into words some of the things I stumble across, have experienced or ... well, just have a forum to present some random musings, I guess. To be quite honest - I would be very surprised if this blog ever made its mark on the blogosphere. How many blogs are out there today? I would assume there are quite a few million.

But there is actually something very comforting about the anonymity of a blog that is going to be hidden in the depths of the internet. It makes you more free to make statements that otherwise could instigated longwinded discussions, but with the knowlegde that nobody is going to care one way or another about what you are writing. And if that is not a prime example of freedom, then I don't know what could be called it.

Okay - with this I am going to welcome myself (once again) into the world of blogging. And I will leave all things pretentious at the doorstep. That is a promise!

(I hope nobody noticed my crossed fingers behind the back)
