Toto je projekt, který mě zaměstnával poměrně dlouhou dobu. Jedná se o spolupráci s anglickým mečířem z Kentu, Owenem Bushem. Owen je proslulý svou schopností vytvářet čepele z více prutů damašku. Přesto i na jeho poměry je tato čepel výjimečná. Je svařena ze šesti prutů, z nichž jeden je unikátně meandrovitě skládán. Čepel jsem opatřil bohatě vyřezávanou a zdobenou rukojetí z bronzu, stříbra, kůží potaženého dřeva a parohu. Motivy odpovídají 10 století v Británii. Pochva je kožená, zdobená bronzovými litými nýty. Celá zbraň je asi 120 cm dlouhá.
Práce na tomto projektu mě opravdu hodně obohatila, budu moc rád když tato spolupráce s Owenem nebude poslední.
This is a project that kept me busy for quite some time. It is a collaboration with English swordsmith of Kent, Owen Bush. Owen is renowned for its ability to produce multiple bar pattern welded blades. This blade is unique even on his standards. It is welded together from six rods, one of which is uniquely meandring. I dressed the blade with richly decorated handle of bronze, silver, leather-covered wood and antler. Theme comes from the 10th century Britain. The scabbard is leather, decorated with bronze cast rivets. The whole weapon is about 120 cm long.
Work on this project gave me a lot, I'll be glad when working with Owen wont be the last.
