Vegetarianism Day 4

, , ,

I am going to keep it short and sweet tonight. I am a little drained tonight and I am going to get an early one!

Menu for today:

Breakfast: Nothing

Lunch: Pasta with red pepperpot sauce and vegetables

Dinner: Croissant

Not much today, but I still feel fine. I have had a lot of other things go on today and I haven't overly thought too much about food.

I have updated my veggie recipe site: www.eatveggie.net

Please email me with any veggie recipes you might have - leila [at] leswan [dot] com

Thank you and Goodnight

Ew, that's not a lot of food. My day consisted of, foodwise:

Breakfast: White Chocolate Mocca from Starbucks and a Triple Chocolate Chip Cookie from Sainsburys

Lunch: Spicy Beef Noodles from the chinese, a can of fizzy Vimto and another triple chocolate chip cookie from Sainsburys.

Tea: Ricotta cheese and spinach free range egg tortelloni and I'm probably going to snack for the rest of the night.

You should eat more. Keep your spirits up. p

Also, I've heard that if you want to go vegetarian you should get a starter pack from goveg.com.

Hi Swanny

Agree with above comment in so far as you need to eat more, at least as far as breakfast is concerned. I'm not good at this myself, as the day ahead makes me feel plain nervous most of the time.

I've been proper veggie since meeting the wife, and have not looked back. (I met her at a party/bbq where I alone brought veggie burgers. Since confessed that this was because I had long since given up meat because I was piss poor at the time rather than moral conviction.)

Anyway, I have to face the fact that I am here because I am putting off getting down to work tonight: deadlines tomorrow. But I wanted to add that through the wee small hours I shall be 'mostly' listening to the opera Nixon in China, which very probably wouldn't make it into your top 100, but I am left-handed and have a tendency towards what is commonly called (by the wife) assonance.

Still looking forward to girlsngadgets BTW.

They're right! You need to eat more. You might feel fine now but you'll find out in a few weeks. I was a vegetarian for 12 years. Felt fine at the start but then started getting sick a lot. Just couldn't get enough protein from vegetable sources. Be careful, your brain needs fat to survive!

Thanks for the comments guys. This isn't a perm thing although I think I will probably be eating less meat in the future. I am going to keep on top of my eat veggie blog though - I like the idea of being able to help people who are trying to give up meat. One thing that people find hard when going veggie, is knowing what they can eat and what to cook. So hopefully I can help a few people out... smile

Oh and yesterday was a one off - I didn't eat much in the evening as I had a little bit of a barmy with Jon, so I just went to bed wink
