My OperaAn Excited Nothing...

Yesterday I was working and felt pretty awful. I haven't really been performing like I can and I was worried I would be given the big 'heave-ho'. But I took the bull my the horns and asked the director if I could have a quick word. I explaind to him that it's been a tough month for me with the whole break-up with Jon and the fact that I have been ill for 2 weeks etc... He totally understood. I mentioned to him that I was meant to be on annual leave from this Friday until next, and that I didn't want to take it, but I would like some time to recover and if he would let me have a long weekend (fri & mon off). He agreed - so I am really looking forward to that! 
Funny things happened yesterday. I was topping up Pete's phone with £5 credit, but it failed 3 times, so I got my money back Then when I spoke to Pete, he said, "did you top my phone up for me babe?" and I said "well I tried, but it failed." He then went on to tell me that he had £30's worth of credit. Not bad huh!
Anyway - I did have one exciting nothing yesterday... I really wanted to buy Pete a present - Just coz he's him and I love him! So after work, I rushed to Canary Wharf to buy him this aftershave that he really liked that he's had some samples of (Lacoste Red), so I got it and bought a nice presentation bag and everything! I was so excited as this is the first pressie I have bought him and I just knew he was gonna like it! Well... That was the exciting bit! When I gave it to him, he responded with "Lacoste Red!!! Awww the girls at work LOVE this!!!" Then followed up by saying "Ta babe!" I was in shock at the reaction and was well pissed off. It was said in jest and just to wind me up, but it was just 'not cricket' - I went into a mood a bit coz it just wasn't what I expected or wanted.
Things got worse when I asked him if he had a cigarette and he replied "no". Considering I had given him a brand new (unopened) packet the day before and he come home with none, due to handing them out to his work colleagues and then giving him another packet yesterday which was almost full and coming back with none again - I was just pissed off - It made me feel like a total mug, cos I am the one paying for everything until he gets paid from his new job! I haven't even asked for the money back on them which is why I feel that he's just taking the piss. I bought 200's the other day from my work colleague and I think he thinks that they are on tap beacause of that! I told him outright though that he was getting no more cigarettes from me!!!
We went to the pub to watch Arsenal play yesterday - It was an awful match. If it wasn't for the wonders of my footballing God, Dennis Bergkamp, we would have been involved in one of the most embarrassing displays in european football EVER! Yep EVER! We nearly drew with the Suiss footballing nobodys FC Thun.
Anyway - I have one day left now of work! I am off tomorrow and Monday and I can't wait! Got to do some work now!
