1990 was a year of natural calamities. In July, a severe earthquake devastated Baguio and other cities in the north; Typhoon Ruping, the worst ever in our memory, battered Cebu and other Visayan provinces in October. Telephone and power lines were cut off; no radio, no TV for lack of power. We had no light and water for almost a month. Micki was now the center of attention with her mischief, borrowing Daddy's polo shirt when taking her milk. Shari was starting to get serious with her studies.
