Super Karate Monkey Death Car

Today we launched Opera for Wii. Adding the japanese Wii pages to My Opera reminded me of this 'NewsRadio' clip, where billionaire Jimmy James is reading from his autobiography, which, for various reasons, was translated to Japanese then back to English. :D

This inspired me to do the same to our Nintendo Wii press release. This is an original quote:

"The Opera-powered Internet Channel for Wii is about making the Web easy to use for anyone, at any age," says Scott Hedrick, executive vice president of Devices for Opera Software.

And, after translating it to japanese and then back to english again, using Babelfish, it looks like this:

As for Internet channel which can give the opera power for Wii the net because of the thing, with all ages, "being Scot Hedrick with someone", using the Vice President of the device for the opera software it is attached to making easy.

Wow. Are you absolutely sure that it was Babelfish that produced that text? I've translated a lot of snippets from japanese to english and it very, very rarely produced any text of even that quality P:

Babelfish is very bad translater. For example, English-to-Russian:
"Опер-privedenny1 в действие канал интернета для Wii о делать стержень легко использовать для любого, на любом времени," говорит Scott Hedrick, executive вице президент приспособлений для средства программирования оперы.
Russian-to-English:
"it leaned -.privedenny1 in the action the channel of the Internet for Wii about to make a rod easy to use for any, on any period," speaks Scott Hedrick, executive the vice President of adaptations for the means of programming opera.

The word "executive" is not translated to Russian. The word "privedenny1" is not russian word, it's mistake in dictionary.

www.online-translator.com common lexis:
English-to-Russian:
"Включенный оперой интернет-Канал для Wii - о создании Сети(Ткани), удобной для любого, в любом возрасте," говорит Скотт Хедрик, исполнительный вице-президент Устройств для Оперного Программного обеспечения.
Russian-to-English:
" The Internet-channel included by an opera for Wii - about creation of the Network (Fabric) convenient for any, at any age, " speaks Scott Хедрик, executive vice-president Ustrojstv for the Opera Software.
