I love this beautiful SAAB commercial. If all commercials were like this I would not need to switch channels. The song is release me by the Swedish band Oh Laura. It will be featured on their upcoming debut album.

That IS a masterpiece. Both the song and the ad. When I watch something like this and sense how it makes me feel, it makes me wonder why there's such an increasing lack of beauty in the popular media. It's all crude and violent these days, clear signs of a global depression and increasing cynicism. Yet through simple means, this ad cuts through to my core and touches on my fundamental desire to be free. From pain, loneliness and bondage. And somehow it reminds me, my soul, that over the horizon, if I keep a steady course, whether in my Saab or in my mind, is new experiences, new learning, more life and love.

That ad won't only sell a lot of cars, it will inspire a lot of people. Spirituality in car ads....times are certainly changing. Thanks for sharing, Fred. This made me pause.

The song is just beautiful, “release me” – so moving! They made a really good job choosing the scenery too, it sure does intensify the lyrics and the feelings it mediates. Nice that so many enjoys it.
